The Park is currently shut for renovations. We are open for camping from June until September 2011 bookings are made via our booking form (subject to availability).
Site A: Spratt's Grove field (by the corn store) is about 1.5 acres of grazed grassland. This field is especially suitable for families with young children as it is set back from the road. At the back of Spratt's Grove there is a field suitable for children to play in.
Site B: Hawkey's field (by the Wildlife Park entrance) is 3.5 acres and by the entrance to the park. Site Details and Prices. All prices are including VAT. Weekends consist of Friday night, Saturday night and Sunday. Price £16.00 per van per weekend. Bank Holiday Weekends include Sunday night and Monday. Price £20.00 per van. Additional nights on pre-paid bookings are available at £7.00. Tents (2 people sharing) price £7.00. per night, extra people £3.00 per person. Dogs are permitted on the caravan sites if they are kept under control and you clean up after them. We regret dogs are NOT allowed in the wildlife park. Fees are due on arrival, in a lump sum by cash or cheque made out to Mole Hall Wildlife Park. Fees for rallies due by the Sunday afternoon.There is fresh water available to both sites (A) about 20 metres from site B (B) next to the top gateway of the field.
A septic tank for waste disposal is located in the car park of the wildlife park. Local Walks Caravan guests are free to walk the designated footpaths across Mole Hall Farm. The farm is arable with crops, woods and hedgerows. There are grass set-aside areas for wildlife. Dogs must be kept under control. Mole Hall Farm is a member of the Country Stewardship Scheme. Littley Wood west is about half an hours walk from the caravan site(no litter please). There are numerous wild deer in the local area and if you keep your eyes open you may even see some fawns. Please remember that it is vital that you never touch a fawn. Its mother will be near by and watching you. If you touch it, the fawn will gain your scent and the mother will abandon it to die. Dogs MUST be kept under control. Facilities within and around the village of WiddingtonThe 'Fleur-de-Lys' is a child friendly public house, serving delicious home made food. During the week there are various evening entertainments. Quiz night is every Thursday and generally Friday evenings are musical. There is also a family room available. The small villages of Stansted and Newport offer various shopping facilities along with a doctor's surgery (01799 540696), post office (01799 540418) and railway station (all stations time tables 0345 484950). The local veterinary practice is The Animal Hospital in Bishop's Stortford (01279 654108) and Mercer Hughes in Saffron Walden (01799 521406). Accident and Emergency Hospitals are as follows: Harlow - Princess Alexandra ( 01279 444455) and Cambridge - Addenbrooke's (01223 245151). The local police stations are: Newport (01799 540310), Stansted (01279 812211), Bishop's Stortford (01992 587711) and Saffron Walden (01799 513232). There are many places of interest to visit in the surrounding villages, also the picturesque town of Saffron Walden which is steeped in history and holds markets every Tuesday and Saturday, they also have a Tourist Information Centre (01799 510444) , Museum, Audley End Mansion, Children's Teddy Bear Railway and a variety of artistic/cultural entertainments throughout the year.-
