Mole Hall Wildlife Park is an old established and much loved venue in Essex. The Park & Tropical House cover around 25 acres situated in the gardens and grounds of Mole Hall, a fully moated manor house* dating back to 1287 and featuring in the Domesday Book. (*NB. The house is not open to the public).

We have started on major redevelopment works which will continue throughout 2010. A clean-up of our wetland and pond areas will boost the natural flora and fauna. We also hope to introduce some exciting new elements to the park.

Wildlife and farm animals have a strong educational basis. Children with their parents and/or teachers should move around and enjoy the whole park, watching the animals and birds, looking at trees, plants and the wetland inhabitants. Other facilities include a wonderful Tropical house, childrens lecture hut and playground area.

We also have a flock of black Welsh mountain sheep and a lovely herd of Alpacas, who have had two babies, called crias, this May and many different birds.

The Cafe is currently closed but will re-open in 2011. No food or drink is allowed in the park or gardens.
